Invest2Scale 2026: masterclasses announced
A solar eclipse provided an unexpected backdrop as Invest2Scale launched a new year-long programme aimed at helping some of Scotland’s most ambitious companies prepare for their next stage of growth.
Unveiled at New Eidyn this month, the new format will see Invest2Scale move from a single annual conference to a series of focused masterclasses covering finance, talent and internationalisation, alongside a Pitch2Scale event connecting companies with investors in London.
Founded by Cazenove Capital, Eden Scott, CT Accountants and Advisors and MBM Commercial, Invest2Scale was originally established to connect ambitious Scottish businesses with growth investors from across the UK and internationally. Its remit has since broadened around a recognition that access to capital is only one part of the scaling challenge.
The masterclasses are targeted at established scaling businesses, including companies preparing to raise £5m or more in growth capital. Spreading the sessions throughout the year will allow leaders to select the areas most relevant to their growth, while combining specialist insight with experience from founders and executives who have scaled businesses themselves.
The four founding partners are motivated by the belief that Scotland has developed a strong pipeline of young businesses but needs to devote greater attention to helping those with proven potential progress to the next stage.
Ewan Anderson of Eden Scott describes the opportunity as a “rising tide raising all boats”, while Paul Mason of CT Accountants and Advisors argues that founders should “bring in the talent that has experience not of where you are, but where you’re going to”.
MBM Commercial’s Stuart Henry wants to see more Scottish companies progress into substantial employers and economic contributors, while Cazenove Capital’s Bob Hair sees the programme as part of a wider ambition to build an entrepreneurial community in which expertise and connections are continually paid forward.
The first masterclass will begin the year-long programme in October.
